What is ORBIT?
ORBIT is an invite-only coordination app for your inner circle. You set what you’re open to (meet friends, go out, networking, sports), and ORBIT quietly spots when people in your confirmed circle overlap in place, time and intent — then suggests a meetup and puts it on both calendars. No public feed, no live map.
Common questions
- How do I build my circle? On the home screen tap the gold + to open your contacts. People already on ORBIT can be added directly; others you can invite. A circle connection only forms when both sides agree.
- Which permissions does ORBIT need, and why? Approximate location (to spot overlaps with your circle — never precise, never sold), contacts (matched on-device as anonymous checksums), calendar free/busy (never titles or content), and notifications. Each is optional and can be changed anytime in Settings.
- Can I go invisible? Yes — Incognito switches off your location, matching and notifications instantly, from inside the app or the Control Center.
- How do I connect my calendar? Settings → Manage calendars → connect Apple, Google or Outlook. ORBIT reads only free/busy windows.
- How do I delete my account? Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data, immediately. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
